Solar Charge Regulators

The Sunsaver is one of the most advanced small solar regulators available today. Starting with the ST110TL through to the ST331TL the regulators are priced competitively, yet they include standard features and have capabilities not found in other small regulators.

These include a full and continuous rating at higher ambient temperatures. Each unit has reverse polarity protection and come with high quality surface mounted components and they boast the PWM pulse charging and have adjustment for either sealed or conventional wet lead acid batteries.

By using highly advanced technology the Prostar range including the ST250 and ST500 solar regulators set new standards for reliability. With this advanced technology the expected failure rate will be less than 1 per 1000 units over 5 years.

The PWM pulse charging has also been further optimised to help improve battery life and improve the system performance.

Both the ST250 and ST500 models can be selected for charging either gel, sealed or conventional wet lead acid batteries and the added benefit of giving an equalisation charge for the flooded system an LCD display is available. This shows the charge current from the solar panel and gives an indication of charge level in the battery.

Solenttech charge regulators ST170TL/LCD & ST340TL/LCD

These sophisticated solar charge regulators have been designed using a special microcontroller. This microcontroller together with a smart electronic circuit provides high-efficiency charging technology combined with a 50% reduction of electronic components (compared to conventional regulators), this means excellent battery charging is now available at reasonable cost and with outstanding reliability even with tough environmental conditions.

The temperature compensated three stage PWM charging method (boost / absorption / equalization / float) provides an increase in battery life expectancy compared to simple on/off regulators. The regulator also adjusts to battery type, battery capacity and ambient temperature to increase battery life.

Extra features on the ST170LCD & ST340LCD are LCD displays providing important information about the solar system, battery state of charge, load current and solar charge current. A special feature is the energy management control output, loads like a fridge can make use of excess solar energy if the energy management control output is connected, this gives much higher utilization of the energy provided by the solar system and reduces power consumption / lost energy.

Features for both controllers -

Battery state of charge display
Charge status display
Load current display
Installation fault status display
Slide cover to hide terminals
PWM regulation
Three stage charging method
Self-adapting charge algorithm
Automatic 12/24Volt detector
Intergrated temperature compensation
Solid-state circuit and load protection
Reverse polarity protection

Solenttech Regulators

Solar Regulators for 2 Battery Circuits ST260ZB & ST500ZB

Both regulators have the following features -

  • Overcharge protection
  • Reverse current protection
  • Discharge protection
  • Charge control for two battery systems

With these regulators you have the ability to charge two separate battery circuits, the normal set-up is to charge the auxiliary batteries first and when these are fully charged the regulator will automatically switch to the engine start battery.

To gain the full benefits of this system the solar panel and batteries need to be sized correctly, incorrect sizing can affect the regulator switching - please contact us to confirm requirements.
